What verse dare I contribute...

TITLE INSPIRED BY A BIKE TRIP ACROSS THE UNITED STATES A FEW YEARS AGO...

Whitman: 'O me! O life!... of the questions of these recurring; of the endless trains of the faithless--of cities filled with the foolish; what good amid these, O me, O life?' Answer. That you are here--that life exists, and you have identity; that the powerful play goes on and you may contribute a verse. "

Winter Musings: A Beginning

Winter is a season filled with simple pleasures. Clear crisp evenings lead to cold winter nights where stars pierce a pure black canopy of sky... even in the midst of the chaos we call life, a simple step outside my door after the rest of the world has gone to bed has a soothing effect on me... if the clarity of the stars in the sky is not enough to give you pause, then certainly the chill of the night air brings you to a place that allows you to catch your breathe again...

Silent night... all is calm... all is bright...
